My story

Hello, my name is Aliyah and I’m a stay at home mom of two with a passion to create art. For as long as I can remember I’ve always loved making art whether its through drawing, painting, sculpting with clay, working with moss, building, or just simply creating something from nothing. Before becoming a young mom, I’d spend hours hiking and looking for animal bones. To me, I never saw it as morbid but felt like I was giving something forgotten a forever home. A way for them to be remembered, cherished and honored for the life they once lived. These were once beautiful creatures and even after I can still see the beauty in the remains. After a while, I started creating pieces that incorporated these ethically sourced animal bones by making them into keepsakes for my home. Creating these oddities started out as another artistic hobby but became a true passion with meaning. From moss displays and suncatchers to carefully crafted oddities, every piece is made with the intention to preserve the beauty of the animal and giving them a new purpose. I believe that even after death, there’s still life to be found through remembrance, art and true appreciation. My hope is that each one of these creations is able to find the perfect home to continue its chance at a second life for years to come and also allow me to continue this passion.
